Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team wins title, defeats Islamabad Physical Disabled Team by 6 wickets in Final:

Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team wins ICRC Presents SAF National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship Title, on the occasion of International Day of People with Disabilities Islamabad Physical Disabled Team lost by 6 wickets in a thrilling Final played at DHA sports club Moin Khan Cricket Academy Ground Karachi. In the Final of National Championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association, ICRC Head of Sub Delegation Peshawar Farrukh Islamov, Former Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Moin Khan, COO Shahid Shahid Afridi Foundation and Country Head Muhammad Rizwan, Disabled Cricket founder Saleem Karim, former Test cricketer Tauseef Ahmed and ICRC Head of Communication Fiza Bangash distributed prizes on the occasion. Disability Cricket Association Secretary Amiruddin Ansari, Imran Latif, Tournament Secretary Jamil Kamran and Tauseef Shah were also present.

After winning the toss in the final, Islamabad Physical Disabled Team scored 133 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Usman Paracha scored 45 runs off 43 balls with the help of four fours while Raja Ali Abbas scored 30 off 19 balls, Adil Abbasi scored 24 off 22 balls and Mohammad Noman scored 15 runs. From Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team, Abdul Khaliq took two wickets while Muhammad Asif and Kashif Abbas took one wicket each.

In reply, winner Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team achived the target and won the Title for the first time by scoring four wickets in 18.1 overs. Abid Hussain was the top scorer with 41 runs off 28 balls with the help of 6 fours. Captain Muhammad Shehzad scored unbeaten 36 runs included a four and a six. Muhammad Noman scored 26 off 20 balls with the help of 5 fours. Hamad Shaukat and Waqif Shah took one wicket each for Islamabad Physical Disabled Team.

Muhammad Noman of Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team was declared the best batter and player of the tournament while Waqif Shah of Islamabad Disabled was declared the best bowler, Ashfaq Shakir of Lahore Physical Disabled Team the best fielder and Abid Hussain of Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team declear man of the match. Hafiz Ghulam Mohammad of Multan Physical Disabled Team was also given a special award for scoring a century off just 27 balls in the National Championship.

Talking to media on the occasion, the special guest Farrukh Islamov, Head of Sub-Delegation of ICRC Peshawar, assured full cooperation with PDCA in the future as well and termed the championship as a successful event.

Bahawalpur Disabled makes it to final, defeats Karachi Disabled in second semi-final by 8 wickets

The winning team’s Mohammad Noman’s brilliant all-round performance, remained man of the match for the fourth time in a row, the final will be played on Friday.

Bahawalpur Disabled defeated strong rival Karachi Disabled by eight wickets in the second semi-final of the ICRC Presents SAF 7th National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship after an easy and one-sided contest.  Bahawalpur will compete with Islamabad Disabled in final  on Friday.

 In the second semi-final of the ongoing National Championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association at KCCA Cricket Ground on Wednesday, Karachi Disabled won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 113 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Muhammad Tahir scored 58 off 48 balls with the help of three fours while Haroon Rasheed scored 16 runs. For Bahawalpur Disabled, Kashif Abbas took 2 wickets while Mohammad Noman and Abdul Khaliq took two wickets for 24 runs each.

During the break, Zafar Abbas of JDC was also introduced to both the teams while he watched the match for some time.

 In reply, Bahawalpur Disabled secured the target by losing two wickets in 16.5 overs to reach the final. Mohammad Noman scored 34 off 31 balls with the help of three fours and a six while captain Mohammad Shehzad scored 27 runs. Asif scored 22 and Abid Jan 21 runs. Haroon Rasheed took one wicket for Karachi Disabled.

 ICRC Head of Communications Aizaz-ur-Rehman awarded Man of the Match to Bahawalpur Disabled Muhammad Noman for his outstanding all round performance. The second semi-final of the ICRC Presents SAF National Physical Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship will be play tomorrow between the teams of Karachi Physical Disabled Team and Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team 10:00 am at KCCA Stadium Karachi. In the supervision of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association the ongoing National Championship has entered into Semi-Final stage.

The first Semi-Final of National event was played between Islamabad Physical Disabled Team and Peshawar Physical Disabled Team in Islamabad in which Islamabad Physical Disabled Team won and made it to the Finals. Karachi Physical Disabled Team defeated Quetta Physical Disabled Team in the Quarter-Finals and Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team defeated defending champion Multan Physical Disabled Team in the Quarter- Finals to make it to the top four.

Rao Javed, the captain of Karachi Physical Disabled Team, said in reference to the Semi-Final that his team is very hopeful for the success in the Semi-Final. Despite the fact that we do not consider Bahawalpur an easy opponent, we will try to present a good game in the Semi-Finals.

On the other hand, the captain of Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team Muhammad Shehzad said that the players of his team are in full form and after defeating a strong team like Multan, our spirits are very high and we will be given a tough time to Karachi at its home ground and will make it to the Final by winning the Semi-Final.

Islamabad Physical Disabled Team defeated Peshawar Physical Disabled Team after an easy match to qualify for the final of the ICRC Presents SAF National Physical Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship. The winner of the second Semi-Final will be the team which includes Karachi Physical Disabled Team and Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team.

In the first semi-final of the ongoing National Championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disabled Cricket Association at Bhutto Ground Islamabad, Islamabad Physical Disabled Team defeated Peshawar Physical Disabled Team by 73 runs after a one-sided contest and advanced to the title match. Peshawar Physical Disabled Team won the toss and invited Islamabad Physical Disabled Team to bat first. Islamabad Physical Disabled Team scored 194 runs for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs. Adil Abbasi scored 89 off 63 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes while Mohammad Noman Scored 65 off 48 balls with the help of eight fours. Both of them scored 168 runs in the first wicket partnership which laid the foundation for victory. Waqif Shah scored 22 off 8 balls, including three fours and a six. Nihar Alam and Osama took one wicket each for Peshawar Physical Disabled Team.

In reply, Peshawar Physical Disabled Team team got out at 121. Adeel Khan scored 30 off 17 balls with the help of 6 fours and Wajid Alam scored 21 runs. Waqif Shah from Islamabad Physical Disabled Team broke the back of Peshawar Physical Disabled Team by taking 5 wickets for 13 runs. He also made a brilliant hat trick. Zubair Khan took  two wickets for 17 runs. Waqif Shah was declared man of the match.

Playing first, Islamabad Physical Disabled Team scored 168 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Adil Abbasi played an excellent innings of 59 off 39 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. Noman scored 37, Waqif Shah 19 off 7 balls while Salman Ahmed and Usman Paracha scored 18-18 each. Abbottabad Physical Disabled Team Abdul Salam and Pazir Mohammad bowled two wickets each.

In reply, Abbottabad Physical Disabled Team were bowled out for 150 in 18.4 overs. Fawad Younis hit 61 off 39 balls with the help of 9 fours and a six. Abbottabad Physical Disabled Team defeated Rawalpindi Physical Disabled Team by three wickets to make it to the top eight in a match played yesterday in connection with the fourth phase of the ongoing National Championship organized by Pakistan Feasibility Physical Disabled Cricket Association.

Playing first, Rawalpindi Physical Disabled Team scored 164 runs for the loss of five wickets. Muhammad Arsalan scored 87 off 62 balls with the help of 14 fours and a six while Bilal Azeem scored 13 runs. Muhammad Hussain took three wickets for 27 runs from Abbottabad Physical Disabled Team. Islamabad Physical Disabled Team easily defeated Azad Jammu and Kashmir Physical Disabled Team by 9 wickets in a match played at Shalimar Cricket Ground Islamabad yesterday in connection with the fourth phase of the ongoing National Championship organized by Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association.

 Azad Jammu and Kashmir Physical Disabled Team were bowled out for 71 in their first innings. Muhammad Fayyaz scored 19 and Muhammad Ahmed 14. Waqif Shah and Zubair Khan took three wickets for 14 and 15 runs respectively for Islamabad Physical Disabled Team.

In reply, Islamabad Physical Disabled Team achieved the target at a loss of one wicket. Adil Abbasi scored 24 off 12 balls and Usman Paracha scored 24 off 15 balls. Hamza Gul took the lone wicket. Zubair Khan was declared man of the match.

Rawalpindi and Abbottabad will play on November 22 in Ayub park ground in Rawalpindi In the first phase, Karachi has defeated Quetta, In the second round, Bahawalpur defeated defending champions Multan, in the third round Peshawar defeated Lahore in the quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals. The quarterfinals will also be played in two Teams from the fourth round. The winner of the quarterfinal will face Peshawar in the First semi-final at Islamabad.

Peshawar Physical Disabled Team defeated Lahore Physical Disabled Team by 6 wickets to advance to the semifinals of ICRC Presents SAF  National Physical Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship. In the quarter finals played on Friday in Peshawar, Peshawar Physical Disabled Team defeated Lahore Physical Disabled Team by a complete outclass. The fourth phase of the championship will start from Monday in Rawalpindi Islamabad, the winner of which will face Peshawar in the semi-finals. Peshawar Physical Disabled Team won the toss and invited Lahore Physical Disabled Team to play first. They scored 113 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Momin Khan took three wickets for 32 runs while Gohar Ali took two wickets for 19 runs. In reply, the winner Peshawar Physical Disabled Team scored the target for four wickets. Peshawar Physical Disabled Team makes it to quarter-finals, defeats KP Stars in second match of third phase.

Peshawar Physical Disabled Team defeated KP Stars Physical Disabled Team by eight wickets to advance to the quarter-finals of the. Wajid was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant innings of 53 runs. The match played between Peshawar Physical Disabled Team and KP Star Physical Disabled Team teams at Gymkhana Cricket Ground Peshawar yesterday proved to be one-sided in which Peshawar Physical Disabled Team won by 8 wickets and paved the way for the quarter finals.

ICRC Representative in Pakistan Farrukh Islamo was the chief guest on the occasion. Pakistan Physical Disabled Cricket Association Tournament Secretary Jamil Kamran, Deputy Head ICRC Peshawar Zartasha Qaiser Khan, Pakistan Sports Writers Federation President Amjad Aziz Malik, ICRC Media Head Azaz-ur-Rehman, Pakistan Red Crescent Peshawar Spokesperson Zeeshan Anwar Including other personalities were also present. KP Star Physical Disabled Team scored 117 runs in 20 overs while playing first. In reply, Peshawar Physical Disabled Team achieved its target easily and won by 8 wickets. Wajid Alam remained man of the match with 53 runs. It should be noted that 16 teams from all over the country are participating in this championship.

In the second match, Peshawar Physical Disabled Team scored 170 runs. Adeel Khan played a brilliant innings of 68 of 35 balls which included 6 fours and 3 sixes. Sajjad Gul took 3 for 36 while Mian Jan took two wickets for 13 runs. In reply, KP Star Physical Disabled Team scored 92 runs. Asadullah and Azmat scored 15 runs each. Left-arm spinner Fayyaz Ahmed took three for 26 while skipper Nahar Alam and Asadullah took two wickets each. Adeel Khan was awarded Man of the Match for his aggressive 68 runs.

The third quarterfinal of the event between Peshawar Physical Disabled Team and Lahore Physical Disabled Team teams will be played on Friday at 10 am at Peshawar Gymkhana.

Lahore Disabled makes it to quarterfinals, Yasir Ajmal’s unbeaten century:

Lahore Physical Disabled Team defeated Sialkot Physical Disabled Team in the third round of ICRC Presents SAF Foundation National Physical Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship and made it to the quarter finals, managed by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association. In the third phase of the ongoing National Championship, match was played between Lahore Physical Disabled Team and Sialkot Physical Disabled Team teams at Bagh Jinnah Ground, Lahore on Tuesday in which Lahore Physical Disabled Team won by 35 runs and qualified for the top eight.

Lahore Physical Disabled Team team batting first and scored  211 for four wickets in  20 overs.Yasir Ajmal scored  an unbeaten 131 off 64 balls with the help of two sixes and 20 fours while M Shahbaz scored 29 runs. Najamul Hassan took two wickets for Sialkot Disabled. In reply, Sialkot Physical Disabled Team team managed to score 176 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. M Salman scored 46, Najam Al Hasan 42 and Sohail Safdar 22 runs. Abdullah Ejaz, Asar Ajmal, M Zeeshan, Sohaib Khan and Zohaib Sabir took one wicket each for Lahore Disabled.

Yasir Ajmal of Lahore Physical Disabled Team was declared Man of the Match. According to tournament secretary Jamil Kamran, in the third phase of the ongoing National Cricket Championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association, the teams of Peshawar Physical Disabled Team and Peshawar Stars Physical Disabled Team will compete on November 18 in Peshawar.

Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team outscore defending champions Multan Physical Disabled Team by 27 runs, Muhammad Noman brilliant all round play

Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team defeated, defending champion Multan Physical Disabled Team in the semi-finals of ICRC Presents SAF  National Physical Disability Cricket Championship, making it to the semi-finals. Bhawalpur Physical Disabled Team upset Multan Physical Disabled Team by defeating him by 27 runs and knocked him out of the event.

In the second quarter final of the event played in Multan on Sunday, Multan Physical Disabled Team won the toss and invited Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team to bat first. Bahawalpur Physical Disabled Team scored 149 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, Mohammad Noman played the best innings of 64 runs off 56 balls with the help of 8 fours while Mohammad Abid scored 56 runs off 42 balls. The duo also put up a 126-run stand for the first wicket. Multan Physical Disabled Team Ameez-ur-Rehman took three wickets for 27 runs.

In reply, Multan Physical Disabled Team was bowled out for 122 in 19 overs. Jahanzeb Towana scored 17 runs. Muhammad Noman from Fateh Bahawalpur Disabled also showed his magic in bowling after batting and took 4 wickets for 17 runs and played an important role in the victory. Asif Kanchi and Asadur Rehman took two wickets each.

Muhammad Noman was declared Man of the Match. He won the Man of the Match award three times in a row in three consecutive matches. The third phase of the championship will start from Tuesday in Lahore.

The second quarter final of the event will be between Multan and Bahawalpur today. Bahawalpur defeated Faisalabad and made it to the top eight. Mohammad Noman’s brilliant century, man of the match were declared in both matches, Sajjad Akbar, Adnan Butt and Waqas Ali’s excellent performance.

Bahawalpur Physical Disabled defeated Faisalabad Physical Disabled in both the matches and made it to the quarter finals of ICRC Presents SAF Physically Disabled National T20 Cricket Championship where it will face defending champions Multan today. Muhammad Noman of the winning team played an important role in the success of his team by scoring a century.

In the first match, Faisalabad Physical Disabled scored 139 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Sajjad Akbar and Waqas Ali scored 42 and 21 runs respectively. Kashif Abbas and M Noman took two wickets each. In reply, Bahawalpur Physical Disabled scored the required score of 6 wickets in 16.4 overs and won by 6 wickets. Muhammad Abid Jan scored 44 runs and Adnan Waqar scored 24 runs. Muhammad Waqas took two wickets. Muhammad Noman was declared man of the match.

In the second match also Faisalabad Physical  Disabled batted first and scored 188 runs after playing 20 overs. Adnan Butt scored 81 off 53 balls with the help of seven fours while Sajjad Akbar scored 42 and Thaqleen Abbas scored 23 runs. Asif Kachhi took one wicket. In reply, Bahawalpur Physical Disabled scored 189 for two and won by eight wickets. On behalf of the winning team, Mohammad Noman scored an unbeaten 104 off 53 balls with the help of 16 fours and a six while Mohammad Lal scored 33 runs. Muhammad Shehzad took both the wickets for 15 runs.

Muhammad Noman was also the man of the match in the second match. The second quarter final of the National Championship will be played today in which the defending champions Multan Physical  Disabled and Bahawalpur v Disabled will compete.

ICRC/SAF National Physically Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship 2021

Multan made it to quarterfinals, Ghulam Muhammad’s fastest century, Matool Qureshi also played three figure innings

Multan defeated Sargodha in both the matches and made it to the quarter finals of ICRC / SAF Physically Disabled National T20 Cricket Championship. Ghulam Muhammad of the winning team scored the fastest century. He set a new national record for disabled cricket. He scored a century off 27 balls while Matloob Qureshi also scored a magnificent century.  In connection with the second phase, Bahawalpur will face Faisalabad today at MCC Ground Multan.

In the first match of the second phase of the ongoing National Championship organized by the Pakistan Physically Disabled Cricket Association on Friday, defending champions Multan made a mountain-like score of 249 for the loss of one wicket in 20 overs while playing first. Qureshi scored an unbeaten 101 off 64 balls with the help of 11 fours while Zaman Ali scored 75 off 37 balls and Jahanzeb Tiwana scored 45 off 18 balls. Khawar took the one wicket for Sargodha Physicallay Disabled. In reply, Sargodha were bowled out for 79 in 19.4 overs. Ahsan Khalil scored 21 runs. From Multan Physicallay Disabled, M Tariq got three for 10 while Zubair Saleem and Mohammad Asif got two wickets each.

In the second match, Sargodha Disabled scored 144 runs for the loss of 7 wickets while Irshad scored 63 runs off 47 balls and Khawar scored 35 runs. Multan’s M Harris took three wickets for 9 runs. In reply Multan Disabled scored the required score of 145 runs in 8.1 overs without any loss. Ghulam Mohammad played an unbeaten innings of 125 off 35 balls which included 16 fours and four sixes. He completed a century off 27 balls which is a new national record in the history of disabled cricket in Pakistan. Majid Hussain scored 12 runs. Ghulam Muhammad was declared man of the match for the second match.

ICRC- presents SAF National PD T-20 Championship second phase in Multan.

MULTAN/ KARACHI: The ICRC presents Shahid Afridi Foundation National Physical Disabled T20 Cricket Championship second phase will start today on Thursday in Multan the event is being organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association with sponsorship of ICRC and Shahid Afridi foundation (SAF)  tournament Secretary Jameel Kamran said in a news release on yesterday. AmirUddin Secretary PPDCA and Tournament Director said that the teams were vaccinated against Covid-19. He added that SOPs regarding Covid-19 would be strictly followed.

Multan are the defending champions. The teams competing in the second phase are Multan, Bhawalpur, Sargodha and Faisalabad. The first semi-final of the National Championship will be played in Islamabad the second in Karachi. The final is scheduled for December 3, the World Disabled Day. Amiruddin said that all the players of all the teams were vaccinated against Covid-19. He added that SOPs regarding Covid-19 would be strictly followed.

Karachi Physical Disabled defeated Quetta Physical Disabled by 14 runs in the quarter finals of ICRC Presents SAF Foundation National PD T-20 Cricket Championship. Rao Javed was declared Man of the Match for his excellent all-round performance. The first quarter final of the ongoing championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association was played at National Bank Sports Complex. Hosts Karachi PD Cricket Team scored 148 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs while playing first. Tahir scored 37, Rao Javed 37 and Umar Farooq 20 for his side. Nizamuddin took three wickets for 24 runs while Nusratullah took two wickets for 21 runs. In reply, Quetta PD Cricket team lost their courage for 134 runs in 19.3 overs after an interesting contest. KARACHI (Sports Reporter): Young talented opener man of the match Ikram ullah smash unbeaten century 113 runs while  Captain Rao Javed scored a not out half century 56 as Karachi PD Cricket Team thrashed Quetta Bolan PD by 51 and 106 runs in the Opening Matches of ICRC- Present’s Shahid Afridi Foundation  National PD T-20 Cricket Championship 2021 on Monday at UBL Sports Complex Ground.

Man of the Match Rao Javed scored unbeaten 56 runs in 35 balls with six fours, and IKram Ullah made 51 runs in 50 balls with six fours, Sadiq Shah scored 37 runs in 29 balls with three fours and one six, Adnan made 15 not out with one six and one four .Abu bakar took 1-30 while Safeer 1-34.

Another match Karachi batting first after winning the toss and posted a big total on the board. Opener Ikram ullah scored 114 not out in 56 balls with the help of 19 boundaries, Sadiq Shah made 29 off 17 balls with 3 fours and two sixes, Rao Javed scored 20 in 31 balls with 4 fours.

ICRC Presents SAF National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship 2021.

The event will start in Karachi from November 8, with matches scheduled in five cities across the country.
Multan team will defend the title, all players who have completed vaccination will participate.
KARACHI: The ICRC Presents Shahid Afridi Foundation Natoinal Physical Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association approved by Pakistan Cricket Board will start from November 8 in Karachi. Multan team will defend its title, in this regard PPDCA Secretary and Tournament Director Amiruddin Ansari said that this permanent event of PPDCA due to the last two years. It was getting late in the year but this time the schedule has been finalized and the National championship is being held in five cities of the country under a new format. Jamil Kamran (Multan) will be the tournament secretary while Raja Tahir (Islamabad) will be the joint secretary. The matches of the first phase will start from November 8 in Karachi. In this phase, Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Quetta Bolan are participating. The remaining matches will be played in Multan, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad. The first semi-final of the National Championship will be played in Islamabad and the second in Karachi, while the final is scheduled for December 3 on the occasion of World Disabled Day. The International Committee of the Red Cross and the Shahid Afridi Foundation, as well as the Pakistan Cricket Board, have the full support of the 8th National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship. He said that the players of all the teams participating in the national championship have completed their vaccination process after which they have been given a place in the squad. SOPs regarding covid-19 will also be fully implemented during the event. It should be noted that Multan team has been the winner of the last three national championships and it will defend its title for the third time in a row in this championship.

Secretary Amiruddin Ansari said. The PDCA has also obtained a Tax Examination Certificate from the FBR which is a great pleasure for us. He further said that in the difficult time of COVID -19 the big supporter of PDCA, ICRC has given Rs.10,000 each to 92 deserving physical disabled players. President Muhammad Javed and the participants of the meeting / Board of Directors gave mutual approval to all the matters of PDCA. President Muhammad Javed and all the members appreciated the efforts of Secretary Amiruddin Ansari regarding PDCA. President Muhammad Javed said that he was especially grateful to FBR for issuing the tax examination certificate. This process will promote disabled cricket in the country. Finally, all the participants thanked the ICRC for their financial support to our players and president expressed the hope that the support of ICRC will continue in the future as well.

KARACHI:(Sports Reporter) The Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA), approved by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has announced the resumption of its cricket activities following the implementation of COVID-19 SOPs. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Board of Directors chaired by President Muhammad Javed at the PDCA office in Karachi yesterday. Secretary PDCA Amiruddin Ansari gave a briefing on the upcoming domestic and international cricket of PDCA and others. According to which the National Championship 2020 and 2021 will start from Karachi in mid-October in which 16 regional teams will participate.

Karachi. Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) on Wednesday extended financial support to 93 disabled players from all over the country in connection with Covid pandemic. All the 93 players were awarded Rs. 10,000 each by PDCA along with ICRC through their cash support program at this critical situation of Covid-19 pandemic which has forced closure of all sports activities since early March this year.

This was disclosed by PDCA Hon. Secretary Amir Uddin Ansari in a press release. According to Amir the PDCA Coordination Committee that includes Javed Khan, Aslam Bareach, Javed Ashraf, Raja Tahir, Rafay Hashmi, Sajid Khan, Saeed Ali and Wasi-ur-Rehman finalized the list of affected players from altogether 16 regions.

Amir appreciated the contribution of ICRC and said. PDCA is grateful to higher authorities of ICRC, especially to head of the ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Program Josef Nogales for supporting our Special Cricket during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking on the occasion, Josef Nogales said, since 1984 we have been working in Pakistan to provide prosthetic and orthotics supports to people who have lost a limb in the current circumstances. It is time for solidarity, inclusion and compassion.

The winners of the event will get Rs50,000 with the runners-up to receive Rs25,000.
A total of two matches will be played daily. In the opening games of competition, Federal Areas Maharajahs meet Sultan of Sindh, while Shahenshah-i-Punjab take on Kings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The final will be staged on Dec 3, which is also the World Disabled Day.

Lahore: The third edition of National Disabled Cricket Championship 2011 will be held in Bagh-e-Jinnah Stadium and LCCA Cricket Ground Lahore from Sept 8, this was announced by Hon. Secretary Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) Amir Uddin Ansari in a Press Conference at Lahore Press Club on Wednesday. Event Co-ordinator Javed Ashraf, Media Manager Muhammad Nizam and others were also present on the occasion.

Amir Uddin Ansari said the Twelve Teams from across the country drawn in four groups will take part in the championship. Karachi will be defending their title in the competition.
Handsome prize money of Rs: 2, 00,000 will be at the offer. The winners will get Rs: 1, 00, 000 and runners-up Rs: 50,000. The Opening Day the runners-up team of last year Rawalpindi / Islamabad will meet Faisalabad Cricket Team at LCCA Cricket Ground while Peshawar Cricket Team will face Azad Kashmir Cricket Team at Bagh-e-Jinnah Cricket Stadium Lahore at 10:00am. KARACHI, Jan 12 (APP) – A two-member delegation of Pakistan Disable Cricket Association (PDCA) comprising of Secretary Amiruddin Ansari and Director Umer Rasheed is due to leave for Dubai on Thursday evening to hold meeting with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Disability Manager Ian Martin. The meeting will take place at ICC Headquarter in Dabai Sports City on Friday at 1.00 p.m. PDCA Delegation will present their working and setup and playing activities at the national and international level. Other topics to be discussed during the meeting included history of Physical Disability Cricket in England,Brief history of Physical Disability Cricket in Pakistan, differences between disabled cricketers in Pakistan and England, classifications and eligibility (ECB), enhancing relationship between PDCA and PCB, ICCs role in disability cricket, future T20 & ODI series between Pakistan and England.

KARACHI, Jan 5: Former captain Rashid Latif said on Tuesday that Pakistan`s disabled cricketers had displayed immense talent in the two-day training camp at his RLCA ground.

“Despite their physical handicap, they have shown remarkable skill and talent,” said Rashid who conducted the camp. Rashid, who is the head coach of the Afghanistan cricket team, said he will impart special training and coaching to disabled cricketers to rectify their technical problems. “I will help them to polish their skills and improve their game,” he told a gathering at the RLCA Ground. PDCA president Salim Karim said that guidance of experienced cricketer and coach Rashid Latif will greatly benefit the disabled players. PDCA secretary Amiruddin Ansari said his boys learnt a great deal during their first international tour to Malaysia and Singapore last year.

LAHORE: & Since the formation of the disabled cricket team we have progressed beyond imagination and foreign tours are a huge step forward for us and now we can show the world that being disabled is no obstacle, & this is stated by Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA)’s President Salim Karim at Lahore’s Bagh-i-Jinnah court where, on the behalf of the Association, gold medal was presented to Tennis Super Star Aisam Ul Haq Qureshi for his thrilling performance in US Open at New York.

PDCA completed two-day visit of Lahore and the delegation was also comprised of PDCA Secretary Amir Uddin Ansari and former Pakistani first-class cricketer Syed Mahboob Ali Shah, PDCA Director of international affairs who also umpired 28 Test matches and 32 ODIs between March 1975 and March 1997 inluding 1987 World Cup Final at Kolkata. Others were former International Umpire Rab Nawaz, First Class cricketer Tanveer Ali, PDCA team Vice captain Major Hasnain Alam, First class umpire Javed Ashraf. Polio withered Salim Karim’s right leg when he was a child and a motorbike accident in his teens seriously damaged his left but though he can barely walk, he is the driving force behind disabled cricket in Pakistan. Karim set up a team for physically impaired people with two friends in 2006 and they now run the pioneering PDCA. During visit, PDCA also met Intikhab Alam, Director National Cricket Academy and briefed him three-years contribution of the body. Inti congratulated the way Pakistani disabled cricket team played matches in South East Asia, becoming the country’s first physically challenged cricketers to embarked abroad.

& Myself appreciated the role of PDCA in organising such healthy activities which will not only create awareness amongst the general public for special people but also bring a good name for body, & added Intikhab, only coach in the world to win World Cups of ODI and Twenty20. & I started this mission with a vision to make all physically impaired people realise that they can live a life without any worries and I am happy that the cause has been served, & told Karim, a businessman who funds all the team’s expenses from his own pocket. & The determination to overcome their physical impediments is a common theme amongst the teammates and they play an important role in a country where health facilities and opportunities for disabled people are rudimentary at best.& Salim said they have also received good response from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and International Cricket Council (ICC).& Disabled cricketers got a new ray of life on 12 June 2010 when PCB recognized us, & said Salim who added that they had also discussion with PCB’s higher authorities where various matters were finalized and PDCA also monitored Lahore Disabled team and gave presentation about such type of cricket in International Human Resource Management Conference held under Nutshell at local hotel.

Dr. Upali Mahanama Offered Pak Disabled Cricketers to Tour Sri Lanka

International Marketing Consultant & Corporate Trainer Sri Lanka & father of former Sri Lankan opening batsman of Roshan Mahanama, Dr. Upali Mahanama who is in an officially visit of Pakistan yesterday visit the practice session of Karachi Disabled Cricket Team at Custom Cricket Academy. He was very surprised and impressed to see the disabled cricketers in action, In his statement he said that those disabled cricketers have done extraordinary in the field of cricket, he said his full support to PDCA and offered Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team for the Tour of Sri Lanka he admired the service of Mr.  Saleem Karim President PDCA to provide the excellent plat form to disabled cricketers of the country. Mean while Secretary PDCA Amir Uddin Ansari described the activities of the Association briefly to Dr. Upali Mahanama.  At the end of the visit President PDCA Mr. Saleem Karim gave a traditional Ajrak and Souvenir to Dr. Upali Mahanama. On this occasion Mr. Mehboob Shah Director International PDCA, Capt. Wajid, Umer Rasheed, Zaffar Ahmed, M. Nizam, Fareed Uddin and Zubair Muhammadi also present.

Disabled No Less Than Normal: Governor Sindh

Karachi: (Sports Reporter) Honorable Dr. Ishrat-ur-Ibad, Governor of Sindh while talking to Mr. Saleem Karim, President of Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association and its Hony. Secretary Mr. Amir Uddin Ansari during a meeting recently held in Governor House Karachi had stated that Physical Disability of a person is not a disadvantage if one is courageous, determined and dedicated to achieve his goal because lack of these qualities even render a normal person useless and worthless. He said that by the grace of Allah Almighty the people of Pakistan are very talented which they have proved many times whenever given a chance. The honorable Governor praised and lauded the single handed efforts and struggle of Mr. Saleem Karim to further the cause of Disabled Cricket under the accspices of Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association and assured him of his full support and cooperation for promotion of this noble cause in Pakistan. Mr. Saleem Karim informed the Honorable Governor that out of his own resources he has formed a National Disabled Cricket Teams along with 12 zonal team and that International Cricket Council had recently awarded him with a Gold Medal in recognition of his services towards the disabled cricket format finally Mr. Saleem Karim with Amir Uddin Ansari gave a special Souvenir to honorable Governor Sindh.

Karachi:” The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recognized the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) and took them under its fold, it was announced on Friday by PDCA Secretary Amir Uddin Ansari. The PCB is pleased to recognize the PDCA. However, your are advised to coordinate with the Pakistan Cricket Association od physically Handicapped for the promotion of cricket activities for the disabled,” Director Domestic PCB Sultan Rana said in a letter issued to the PDCA. The PCB has allowed the PDCA to get them selves registered with the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

PDCA Invited to Sri Lanka

Karachi: Sri Lanka’s Upali Mahanama has extended an invitation to the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) to visit his country. Mahanama, father of Roshan Mahanama the former Sri Lankan Text Opener and now an ICC match Referee, visited a Training Camp of the Pakistan Disabled Cricketers at the Customs Coaching Academy while on a private tour to Pakistan. PDCA Secretary Amir Uddin Ansri said on Wednesday that Mahanama was highly impressed with the performance of impaired cricketers of Pakistan. PDCA President Saleem Karim briefed Mahanama about the activities of Association and its recent International Tour to Malaysia and Singapore.

Disabled Cricketers embark on first Tour

Karachi: A-16 man disabled Pakistan Cricket Team left on Friday for matches in Malaysia and Singapore, becoming the country’s first physically challenged cricketers to embark on a foreign tour. “We are on a history making tour,” skipper Saleem Karim, who is also the founder of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA), said. The team, cleared by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to tour, will take up invitations to play two matches in Malaysia and three in Singapore. Saleem Karim, whose right leg withered from polio while his left was damaged in an accident, assembled a team of disabled cricketers in 2006 and has since organized two National Championships, sparking country wide interest. “Since the formation of the disabled cricket team we have progressed beyond imagination but these two foreign tour are a huge step forward for us and now we can show two world that being disabled is no obstacle”, said Saleem Karim. He said they have also received good response from the PCB and the International Cricket Council (ICC). The PCB has given us tremendous support and ICC has also shown great interest in our cricket, which is very thrilling, said Saleem Karim, a successful 44 year-old Businessman who funds all the team’s expenses from his own pocket. This team has palyers from all over Pakistan and before playing cricket abroad these players will first realize their dreams of boarding a plane for the first time I their lives, said Saleem, Farhan Saeed, an amputee who bowls with the aid of a stick and jumps on his crutches to deliver, agreed. I have only seen a plane in the air and today, I will be on the plane to Kuala Lumpur, it’s  beyond my dreams, said Farhan. Fellow player Mohammad Matloob Qureshi said the team was on cloud nine. Playing cricket like normal people was the first dream realized, and now we are going to Malaysia and Singapore which we will only believe once we land there It’s incredible, said Matloob Qureshi who hails from Multan. Matloob Qureshi, who bats left handed has a polio affected right hand. Another members of the team is Arif Richard, who is fondly called Arif Richards after West Indian maestro and has polio affected legs.

Disabled Person’s Cricket Team honored in Malaysia

Islamabad: Pakistan’s High Commission in Malaysia honoured the country’s disabled person’s cricket team in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on the occasion of Pakistan Day “Pakistan’s acting High Commissioner Dr. Imtiaz A Qazi invited us and we are very glad to have attended the 23rd March ceremony”.  Mohammad Nizam said from Kuala Lumpur. Pakistan community and all the officials of the Pakistan High Commission were present on the occasion and they all ere glad to meet the disabled person’s cricket team s, Regional Times quoted Manager of the team Mohammad Nizam as saying. We are very satisfied with the arrangements made by the Malaysian Cricket Council he said Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team is currently on its first they have already played two matches winning one of them. They lost the first one against the Frontier Club by 83 runs and then bounced back to win the second tie against the Awan Club by a huge margin of 180 runs. In the second phase, the disabled person’s cricket team will go to Singapore and play one match against a local team and ten tyhey will tour another Malaysian City Johar Bahru to play the last two matches. The Pakistan team will return home on April 1.

Karachi: Pakistan Disabled cricketers suffered back to backs defeat on the Singapore leg of tour going down by five wickets against Johar Hahru Cricket Academy on Saturday according to message received there. After suffering five defeat at hands of Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) invitation XI on Friday, Pakistan Disabled went down to Johar Bahru Academy by same margin. Batting first, Pakistan disabled Cricketers scored 201 for the loss of the loss of eight wickets in 35 overs. Jahanzaib Tiwana hammered 69 hoisting half a dozen 6s and two 4s. The host Johar Bahru Academy in reply reached the target in 30th over with Imran Afzal and Muhammad Amir hitting sparking half centuries. Imran hit four 4s and as many as six 6s and Amir’s 69 was spiced with seven boundaries and four 6s. Earlier on Friday, Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) Invitation XI defeated Pakistan Disabled team by five wickets at Kallang Cricket Ground Singapore. Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team which won their match on Malaysian tour, suffered their first defeat against the team coached by former Sri Lankan Captain Marvin Atapattu. Pakistan Disabled Cricketers was restricted to 139 for the loss of six wickets in 25 over. Danish Ahmed top scored with 40 laced with five 4s and Farooq Ahmed contributed 33  with four boundaries. Major. Hasnain Aam struck three 4s in his 32. Sohaib Razaq and Manish Aurora took two wickets in a tight spell. SCA Invitation XI in reply reached the target for the loss of five wickets, thanks to a fine match winning unbeaten 26 with four boundaries by Munish Aurora following his two wickets. Dhaamchanda Muslewn emerged as the tops scorer with 28 with three 4s. Nishar Alam and Muhammad Kalam took two wickets each.

He also said that & these team has players from all over Pakistan and before playing cricket abroad these players will first realize their dreams of boarding a plane-for 1st time in their lives. &

& we have applied for PCB affiliation adn once we get that we have invitations from England and the United States, so with this first ever tour we have taken a start which will go a long way,& said by Salim Karim.

Multan Tigers wins Multan District T-20 Disabled Cricket Tournamnet 2009

Karachi: 26 Oct. 2009: Multan Tigers beat Bhawalpur Panthers by 34 runs in Multan Disable T-20 Disabled Cricket Tournament Final and annex the Tophy at Lasal School Ground Multan the other day. Tournament being organized by Pakistan Disable Cricket Association. Jameel Kamran Co-ordinator PDCA Multan was the organizing Secretary. Captain of Multan Tigers Jahanzaib Tiwana hammered a breezy century 114 runs in 66 balls with the help of 12 boundaries and 4 sixes he also took 2 wickets for 38 runs. Later he was declared as man of the match. All rounder M. Matloob Qureshi also played well from Multan Tigers he scored 30 runs and took 4 wickets four 36 runs. Muhammad Hayyat (LAS) claimed 6wickets only four 26 runs in 4 overs including hit rict but he failed to save his team from defeat.
